The month of October is going to be a busy one! It is crazy to think we are getting close to the end of the year already….time is flying by.

We will be having a costume sale up front in the lobby. This is a great opportunity to find a Halloween costume or dress up clothes. I find that grandparents enjoy this sale to fill up their dress up trunks! All the proceeds go to our Raelyn Cutbirth scholarship.

We will be “Pinking” out the studio the week of October 17th. All the staff will be wearing “Cypress Elite Dancers Against Cancer” t-shirts. This month hits home to many of us as we have had loved ones who fought the fight and some who lost the battle. We are asking for donations in the front office of $1, $3, and $5 and adding them to a tutu. I will personally match the donation and send it off at the end of the month!

Halloween dress up week will be the last week in October for all classes. This is a fun filled week. Please make sure that all dance wear is worn under costumes as some costumes can get hot and itchy. Make sure the costume they wear can be danced in (little mermaid is not a great choice).  Also, any hats, headbands or bows need to be secured so they don’t fall off or not worn. Please no feather boas or spray painted hair.

Last but not least….recital costume forms will be handed out the last week in October. Our theme for recital this year is “On Broadway”. All of our music chosen will be Broadway musicals or Broadway themed. The staff is super excited to pick out costumes at our October staff meeting. The costume book will be in the lobby that week. This book will showcase every class costume.

Blessings,

Mrs. Kim
