Kim is the owner and director at Cypress Elite Dance Studio.
Kim starting dancing at age three at Linda Sullivan’s School of Dance. For nine years. Kim danced under Broadway choreographer Paula Sloan. She was a member of their nationally-acclaimed production company “Texas Tap Ensemble”.
She went on to be one of the top officers of her High School drill team and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Sam Houston State University.
Kim was the Assistant Director for the Texas Star Drill Team at Magnolia High School for two years where she taught Dance and History. She recently was on staff as a choreographer for HTEDance and part of the Texas Dance Educators Association. Kim was awarded “Outstanding Teacher” for 2012 and 2013 through the I Love Dance Competitions.
In her spare time, Kim choreographs field routines and competition routines for local dance and drill teams and is currently an adjudicator for several competitions.
She and her husband Mark have two daughters and currently reside in Tomball, Texas.
Shannon has been a part of the Cypress Elite Dance Studio for several years as a big supporter of her youngest daughter, a long-time dancer at the studio. Trading in her “dance mom” title for another, she now joins the administrative team after recently retiring from an illuminating career at United Healthcare. She is an alumnus of University of Texas.
Shannon and her husband have three daughters and currently reside in Tomball, Texas.

Anna has been working for Cypress Elite Dance off and on for the past four years. Mrs. Anna is a huge asset to Cypress Elite and is a huge part in our front office organization. After graduating with Honors from Sam Houston State University with her BFA in Dance, Jessalyn founded the Exhilaration EnCompassed Dance Company seeking to create a medium through which she could explore modern movement grounded solidly in innovation and technique.
As a choreographer, her works have been featured in such venues as the Wortham, the Hobby Center, Barnvelder, at Sam Houston State University, and throughout the country from Ohio to New York. As a dancer, she has been a part of the SHSU Dance Company, the Kista Tucker Dance Company, as well as performing with Lauren Anderson in the narrative ballet, Storm Recaptured, touring New York as part of KTDC alongside Bill Evans, and dancing in Paris, London, and Nice. During the course of instructing for over a decade, Jessalyn gained a deep appreciation for our youth and prides herself on devoting individual technique and artistry while maintaining a positive, professional, and always encouraging environment. She has most recently been a Director for the Kingwood Strutters, Dancing Bluebonnets, BEAT Performing Arts, and In-Step Dance Studio.
Assistant CEDT Director
Lindsey started dancing at a young age in local dance studios and went on to become a member of Tomball High School Cougar Charms where she was an All-Star member her Junior year.
She is currently pursuing her career in dance and is taking courses to obtain her Bachelor’s in Fine Arts in Dance. She was a member of the Texas Tech Dance Company for one year and performed in the DanceTech Texas premiere dance showcase. She is currently taking classes in ballet, jazz, modern, musical stage, and dance history.
Lindsey has studied under Tricia Gomez and Gregg Russell. She has been on staff with Cypress Elite Dance Studio eight years. Her classes are fun filled, energetic, and upbeat.
Assistant CEDT Director
Benicia currently resides in Houston, Texas with her husband. She enjoys her position as the Assistant Director for CEDT and Recreational Dance Instructor at Cypress Elite Dance Studio. She has previously held dance teaching positions for dance studios in Waller, Houston, & San Jose, California for dancers ages 3-18.
In addition, Benicia loves to praise dance with her husband as ‘Grace & Mercy Mime & Dance Ministries’ at the Word of God Christian Fellowship as well as the leader for the Little Angels at her home church. Benicia has had extensive training in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, liturgical, and lyrical styles of dance from the Silicon Valley Ballet, High School Musical on Broadway, the Houston Metropolitan Center, and Brockcus Conservatory of Dance to name a few. Benicia is an alumna of THE Prairie View A&M University majoring in Human Nutrition & Food.
Head Ballet Instructor/En Pointe Ballet Director
Cooper began dancing when she was three years old in Northern California and then went on to train at Ballet Conservatory of South Texas in San Antonio and SLK Ballet in New York City. Cooper is currently a sophomore at the University of Houston, pursuing a degree in Teaching & Learning, pre-k through 6th grade. In the future when Cooper retires from her dance career she plans to teach kindergarten and one day open her own preschool.
Cooper made her professional debut with Sensedance, a contemporary company, in January of 2015 at New York City Center. She continues taking classes in ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap, and broadway jazz at MET Dance in downtown Houston. At this time, Cooper is studying vocal performance and actively auditioning for musical theatre roles throughout Houston. Cooper has been teaching ballet, tap, and jazz for two years with DCT and is looking forward to working with Cypress Elite Dance students while they continue to elevate their foundation of dance.
Preschool and Elementary Instructor
Cindy Williams began dancing at a young age with Ann Moody Sill Dance Studio in Sugarland, Texas. She has 17 years teaching experience with training at all levels. She has studied with teachers in various parts of the country and performed with several professional dance companies. Cindy teaches for several studios and YMCA’s in the Northwest Houston area.
Cindy resides in Katy with her husband and two children.
Preschool/Elementary Instructor and Student Assistant Coordinator
Payton has been dancing with Cypress Elite since the age of seven. While competing under the Cypress Elite Dance Studio competition team, she was awarded many scholarships, such as Rainbow Dance ‘Dancer of the Year’ and the Houston Ballet Pallet scholarship. Payton has had many opportunities to attend teacher conferences such as DanceLife Teacher Conference and Dance Teacher Summit to take classes and learn how to teach from some of the best in the business. She trained under our own Cindy Williams for many years and brings a strong knowledge of child dance development and classroom management.
Payton prides herself on having fun, energetic classes where she gets to share her passion of dance with her students. Her biggest goal is to teach the girls much more than dance, but to help them grow their confidence, gain responsibility, work well with their classmates, and so much more.
Shea (pronounced Shay) is a Cum Laude graduate with a Psychology degree from the University of Houston. She grew up in a dance studio setting and has trained in all areas of dance from a very young age. She was a dance officer/member of her HS drill team the Mayde Creek Martinettes in Katy I.S.D.
Shea is the former Academy Director of the Dance Factory and has been teaching ages two to teen dance lessons for 30 years. Her dancers have performed at Disney World and her choreography and dance teams have won numerous awards at various dance competitions both locally and nationally.
Shea resides in Cypress, Texas with her husband Gary and daughter Ava.
Academy Director and Hip Hop Instructor
Mary comes to Cypress Elite Dance with a Master’s degree from the University of St. Thomas and a Bachelor’s from Sam Houston State University in Education. She has danced with the Kaleidoscope Dance Collective, Classic Dance Ensemble at Prairie View A&M, and Daughters of Righteousness Praise and Dance Group at Sam Houston State University. She is also the Reading Specialist with Harmony Public Schools.
She brings a fun and energetic approach to teaching dance with more than nine of teaching experience.
Hayli is an established coach with certification credentials for both, USAG and Acrobatic Arts.
Hayli has studied various dance disciplines as well as tumbling for 16 years. She began her training in ballet and jazz, along with tumbling. This training and experience allows her to bring a developed skill set to seamlessly combine the Acro-Tumbling skills in fusion with dance technique.
Our mission for Acro-Tumbling is to provide the best quality of instruction while also giving each student individualized direction. We pride ourselves on providing a safe and energetic atmosphere, while also encouraging confidence and motivation to learn the fusion of dance and the athleticism of acrobatics. Being enthusiastic about her Acro- Tumbling education, Hayli believes in continuing education and continues to take classes to help her athletes with injury prevention as well as the best quality education to bring to the table. Hayli strives to be the best she can be and instill in her students the passion and fire that she has for Acro-Tumbling, allowing them to be passionate about what they are accomplishing.

Acro/Tumbling Teacher and Preschool Instructor
She began her dance journey at the age of three years old at The Studio of Dance and continued her dance education through the Northwest Houston area. While on the competition teams, she had the opportunity to learn from Emmy Award Winning Choreographer Mandy Moore, SYTYCD Season One Winner, Nick Lazzarini and SYTYCD finalist, Robert Roldan and many others.
Lexie has trained in all areas of dance for 15 years and has been teaching for two years now with Cypress Elite Dance. She currently continues training in Acro-Tumbling from Director, Hayli Howard.
She hopes with her time at the studio to pass on her passion and knowledge of Acro-Tumbling and dance onto her students, as well as, making classes a safe, fun and creative environment for everyone to enjoy.
Lexie currently resides in Tomball, Texas with her husband, son and in November 2019 will be welcoming a daughter.
I’m Mrs. Airen; I began dancing at the age 4 years old. My teachers included Robin Judice Mueschke, Lesa Mueschke and Dina Vail. My favorite classes were Tap and Ballet but I also enjoyed Jazz and Tumbling. I began competing with the studio dance team when I was in my 5th grade year and completed 9 full years. I began Student Teaching at 16 years old and regularly taught my own classes at the age of 21. I was in show Choir in Katy High School from 1992-1996.
My most recent competition as an adult was the 8th National Talent Competition in San Antonio we took Double Platinum over all and the Musicality Award for our Tap. I recently completed 3 days of Teacher Training with Rhee Gold’s DanceLife Teachers Conference. I plan on taking many more dance training in the near future so I can bring a new curriculum to my classes. Along with dance I am married and a full time stay at home parent with 2 young children, Avery and Jack. I love to cook, bake, craft, read and paint.
