The Next Chapter
Carrying the legacy forward.
In January 2024, Lindsey and James Cook became the owners of Cypress Elite. They stepped into the role with deep respect for what Kim built and a shared commitment to carry the studio forward with intention.
Their chapter is centered on preserving the close-knit experience families value while continuing to strengthen the training, programs, and support behind a growing studio.
Today, more than 200 students call Cypress Elite home. Lindsey and James are focused on honoring the studio's roots, investing in its people, and creating a place where dancers can grow in confidence, artistry, and leadership.
The Beginning
The Studio She Built.
Kim Davis opened Cypress Elite Dance Studio in Spring 2006 with just 13 students and a dream to educate young people in the Tomball area through the art of dance.
From that beginning, she shaped a studio where strong technique and personal attention belonged together. As enrollment grew, the commitment remained the same: know dancers as individuals, build confidence alongside skill, and create space for every child to grow.
That foundation continues to guide Cypress Elite today. Kim's legacy lives in the standards, community, and care families experience throughout the studio.

Parent Perspective
"My girls are greeted by name when they walk in the door. We first selected Cypress Elite because my oldest could start at age 2, but we stay because I couldn't imagine moving anywhere else."
Alicia Nelson, 8th year studio parent
